Brian Hoyt // Co-founder
Brian co-founded Altitude Retirement Partners (“Altitude”) in 2023 to provide Colorado entrepreneurs with differentiated qualified retirement plan administration services. An entrepreneur himself, Brian focuses on understanding business owner objectives and achieving clearly defined goals. As a Qualified 401(k) Consultant and Administrator, Brian creates custom plan designs accompanied by continued support throughout installation and operation. Prior to founding Altitude, Brian spent six years with TPA Services Inc., a qualified retirement plan and pension services administrator. In his most recent role, Brian served as COO of TPA Services, where his responsibilities included overseeing all plan design, installation, and ongoing support services.
Brian earned his B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Denver. While at DU, Brian played for the Men’s Soccer team, which he captained in 2014. When not working, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Sara, and two children. If he is not spending time with family, you can find him enjoying the Colorado sunshine, playing golf or skiing.

AMY Buerck // Co-founder
Amy has spent the last 20 years in the retirement industry working on plan compliance as a third-party administrator. Her experience has covered all aspects of 401(k) plans, from documents and annual administration to her most recent role as head of compliance and review. Surrounded by teachers all her life, she has a passion for education and helping employers understand their plans, creating successful outcomes for business owners and employees. In 2023 she co-founded Altitude Retirement Partners with Brian Hoyt and leads the day-to-day compliance and administration operations of the firm.
Amy obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Augusta College in Rock Island, IL where she was a track & field Academic All-American. She is married to her husband Brad, and when not attending their three boys’ sports or music activities, they spend time on Colorado’s many biking trails.
